Application: 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene, also known as 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene, abbreviated as EDOT, is a conductive polymer monomer discovered by Bayer AG in Germany. It is a monomer material for PEDOT and can be prepared into PEDOT thin films through electrochemical polymerization. It has the advantages of low bandgap, low electrochemical doping potential, short response time, high color contrast, and good stability. It is currently a research hotspot in organic electrochromic materials internationally. Poly (3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) can undergo a reversible color change between sky blue and transparent under the action of an external electric field.
